Lift
Shield began in 2002, as President and founder,
James Facente, recognized a need in the equipment
industry to provide an extended warranty program
to cover New and Used equipment. Mr. Facente was previously
a dealer principal and CFO for a large forklift
dealership and created Lift Shield to bridge an
existing gap in an under-serviced used market. Lift
Shield’s goal is to provide equipment
customers a product that will make their buying
decision much easier and also give them a method
to protect their investment.
While
Lift Shield, corporately based in Weston, Florida,
is a relatively new company, its warranty program
is underwritten by Lloyd's of London through Glynn
General the oldest heavy equipment extended warranty
agency in the United States.
Formed in 1984, Glynn General,
specializes in meeting the insurance needs of heavy
equipment owners, distributors and manufacturers.
Glynn General is not only the oldest agency in the
market today, but it is a proven warranty provider with
an excellent reputation in the heavy equipment
industry. Lift
Shield is proud of its partnership with Lloyd's of
